The incident took place around 1 a.m., Monday, Aug. 2, when German Ramirez and Ismael Rodriguez-Rosado became involved in an argument on the property of Mi Nuevo Encanto, located at 65 Carleton Ave., in Central Islip, Suffolk County Police said.
During the argument, Rodriguez-Rosado, of East Islip, fired multiple shots, striking Ramirez, police said.
The two were known to one another prior to the altercation.
Ramirez, age 31, of Bay Shore, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead.
Rodriguez-Rosado fled the scene and was located by responding officers a short time later.
Rodriguez-Rosado, age 27, was charged with murder and will be held overnight at the Third Precinct for arraignment on Tuesday, August 3 in Central Islip.
